What is Yogasana?

Yogasana is a free browser extension for Chrome and Firefox. It replaces your new tab page with a full-screen yoga photo experience. No account needed, no sign-in, no setup.

Data We Collect

None. We do not collect any personal information — not your name, email address, location, browsing history, or anything else that could identify you.

How the Extension Works

Yogasana stores a small amount of data locally in your browser using Chrome Storage Sync. This data never leaves your device to us — it only syncs across your own devices if you’re signed into your browser profile.

The only things stored are:

• Which photos you’ve marked as favourites
• Your colour palette preference
• Your current position in the photo sequence

Once every 24 hours, the extension fetches a small JSON file from a public GitHub repository (github.com/Saurealestate7/yogajson) to load the latest photo URLs. This is a one-way request — no user data is included or transmitted in these requests. GitHub’s own privacy policy applies to this connection; you can read it at docs.github.com.

Cookies, Tracking & Analytics

Yogasana uses no cookies, no tracking pixels, no analytics tools, and no advertising. We have no idea who is using the extension or how often.

Third-Party Services

The only external connection Yogasana makes is a read-only fetch of photo metadata from a public GitHub repository. No user data is sent in this request. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services.

Children

Yogasana is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how the extension works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Given the nature of the extension, significant changes are unlikely.
